Each year hundreds of old tankers, ferries, and cargo ships are brought to the mud flats of Bangladesh to spend their remaining years being broken down into scrap metal. I think it is just crazy that there are the massive ships just sitting in the mud waiting for the workers to show up with a blow torch and start cutting metal off for scrap. Also these are not just small ships they are massive, hundreds of feet long and tall just wasting away in the mud. Plus this cant be safe there are hundreds of workers and one wrong step could result in them falling 10 stories to a horrible death, but in their eyes its a way for them to make money and support their families.

Yes i agree it provide jobs. Also i would like to go there because it would be cool to see hundreds of big ships all in a big ship grave yard. but it is most likely dangerous and i think they could like repair them and use them. or recyle parts in stead of just scraping them. also im sure its not the most eco friendly place. they should bury them in the sea to create reefs.
