On the inside of all this sopa and pipa madness they busted the founder of megaupload. Megaupload was a website that allowed people to upload and download files, including the illegal kind. Lots of people were abusing the use of the site to illegally download music and movies. He was released on bail because the judge ruled he didn't have enough money to flee the country. Kim dotcoms website generated over 175 million dollars in illegal downloads and stolen material which would account to a long time in a cold jail cell. Honestly I understand why they get so mad about people "stealing" other things online such as downloads and so on. I have downloaded stuff but I believe once it's online that it's okay for anyone to download or use it.
